The Corn Field

Burie - Charente-Maritime (17) - Nouvelle-Aquitaine - France

The Corn Field (Le Clos de Maïs) : A secret garden right in the centre of the village of Burie, the Clos de Maïs reveals itself little by little as you stroll along its lanes. An English garden with a Japanese touch, it shows numerous perennials and little-known shrubs, especially those that bloom in winter, such as the Sarcocca, the Fragrantissima Honeysuckle, and the Viburnum Botnanse, but there is also a Henrii Lime that releases its fragrance in August and some ten Japanese Maples. A lovely collection of clematis, containing winter, spring and summer varieties. A kitchen garden, flowerful, abundant and sometimes unusual, completes the garden. Created in : 1980
Surface : 3000 m2
