La Folie Marco's Garden : This 18th century garden is arranged in a succession of green rooms. It consists of tall trees of different varieties from the first half of the 19th century and offers a rich range of colours and foliage. From various spots in the garden one enjoys unexpected views of the architecture, the garden, and the plain.
La Folie Marco, a grand manor half- seigneurial, half-bourgois, has become a museum thanks to a legacy made out to the town of Barr in 1960. The buildings and the collections they contain are essential items for studying Alsatian life for tourists and amateurs. The museum contains bourgois Alsatian furniture from the 17th to the 19th century, ranging from Rhine Renaissance to Empire and Restoration.
