The Water Gardens to Carsac-Aillac, in the heart of the Périgord Noir, in the Dordogne region, are dedicated to the lushness of lotus and exotic and tropical nympheas. The lotus flowers can rise up to 2 meters above the water. The lotus has its home in America, the Middle East and Asia, where it is a symbol of beauty and purity.
Above a basin of over 2800 m2 and on more than 550 meters of footbridges on water level, you will discover the water fauna and flora with the lotus flowers at breast hight. Thanks to a speciall app, dynamic water games and fountains can be manipulated in your own way.
Playful and pedagogical tour with explaining boards, over 200 plants are thus described.
During the winter of 2023, new paths were created: on the southern slope of the gardens, large waterfalls appeared to create a surprise and extend the visit.
