The Shamrock Garden in Normandy presents the worldwide most important national collection (CCVS) of the HYDRANGEA genera. It is presented by virtue of the plants' zone of origin, offering thus spectacular homogenous landscape scenes.
Had been classified as a “remarkable garden” in 2015 awaiting updating. Created in : 1994

  • Opening 2026 :
    The collection is open to the public from June 21 to September 6, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:15 (last entry at 12:00) and from 14:30 to 17:15 (last entry at 18:00). It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, except for groups.
    (We prefer not to accept groups on Sunday mornings; we ask that they visit in the afternoon instead.)
    We are open on the public holidays of July 14 and August 15.
    Annual closure: September 6 (evening). Visits can be arranged until October 10 for groups of more than ten people, by appointment only, at the rate applied to professional organized groups.

    A paper guide is loaned to individual visitors on request. It includes an introduction to the HYDRANGEA genus and allows you to discover the contents of each flower bed (more than 100), or to take a walk just for pleasure.

    Low Season Rates (June 21 to July 4 and August 16 until closing):

    Family rate (minimum 5 adults): €8 per adult (€40 for a group of five adults).

    Guided Group Rates (minimum 10 people): Organized groups, whether professional or not, are offered a special rate as their visit is always professionally guided and narrated.

    High Season (July 10 to August 15): €15 per person excluding tour leader and driver

    Low Season (June 21 to July 9 and August 16 until closing): €12 per person excluding tour leader and driver

    By road: numerous motorways to Rouen, Amiens, then 4 lanes to Dieppe. Take Route du Bord de Mer, or bypass Dieppe via St Aubin sur Scie and Offranville.
    By train: Paris (St Lazare) to Dieppe, change to Rouen. Taxi and Bus (Créabus) to Varengeville (7km).
