The Park, Gardens and Kitchen-Gardens of Montigny Castle : The castle of Montigny-sur-Aube, classified as a historical monument, stands in the middle of a 4 hectare park, surrounded by walls.
There is a lovely Renaissance chapel to be seen, a vast park in the English style and the water-filled moats, but also the kitchen gardens and orchards, which have been labeled ”Remarkable Garden”. They comprise more than 200 varieties of fruits and vegetables, among them 70 varieties of tomatoes. You can see the highlights of the know-how of 19th century gardeners in the different forms of espalier fruit trees. Just as then, an apiary with 12 hives in the middle of its honey-flower garden, takes care of the pollination of the different fruit trees. Fifty more hives, on the edge of the park's underwood, complete the bee population. Created in : 2002
