Garden of the Five Senses and Primal Forms

Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde - Bouches-du-Rhône (13) - Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur - France

Garden of the Five Senses and Primal Forms : A contemporary garden of 2,5 hectares near Aix en Provence revisits the baroque aesthetics that have so strongly influenced the gardens in Provence. In an original garrigue, with its preserved and valorised vegetation, the creator of this park has fashioned some more elaborate spaces that appeal to all of the visitor’s five senses. The primal forms are associating culture – nature, and are an invitation to meditation, just like all of the works of art that line the course. Every year, an artist in residence offers one or more creations that have been inspired by this exceptional place. Created in : 2008
Surface : 2,5 ha
