Description
Teacher, Pierre Sire (1890-1945) finished his carrier as a teacher of 7th degree in the Secondary School of Carcassonne while her wife Maria (1895-1960) is director of the School of La Cité. They become co-authors of several Romans and very soon they enter the Carcassonne Writing World, animated by Joë Bousquet, René Nelli and Ferdinand Alquié from 1920 till 1950. We find them among the founders of magazines such as "Folklore" and "Cahiers du Sud" . Near the Old Bridge, the garden carrying their last name has received a monument that joins them in memory as well as they have been in life.
