Description
In the heart of the forest lies this garden, unique in France.
It consists of more than 800 varieties of medieval plants, trees and bushes, aiming to be a conservatory of varieties of the medieval time (8th to 15th century).
Every plant is precisely marked with its medieval, French and Latin names and its use in medieval times.
During the visit, you will walk "The Knights' Rose Garden", "The Bouquet Garden", the "hortus" (vegetables), "vergier" (orchard), "herbularius" (simples and condiments), "apiarium" (medieval beehives) and "The Witches' Garden".
An exhibition of different wood essences completes the medieval fresco.
A journey in time in an extraordinary environment !
Created in : 1990, Surface : 1/2 hectare
