Description
Not far from where Dordogne and Vézère rivers join, this park is a botanical garden with a thematic collection unique in Europe, containing more than 264 varieties of bamboos and more than 350 graminaceous plants from all over the world. But it is also a charming garden where to enjoy the play of light and shadow, an exotic atmosphere at home in Périgord's contrasting climates, on a flat and shadowy walk made of nutshells.
The park is open all year round. It is as attractive in winter or in summer as in autumn. You will appreciate our new zen garden (Japanese dry garden type since the 13th century) and the great music wheel, built of bamboo rain sticks, prelude of the opening of music workshops for children. A pedagogical path "plants-nature-environment" is already functioning.
