CAMIFOLIA, the medicinal and aromatic plant
(Flowers and perfumes galore)
This park, situated in the City Hall Park and created in 1976, was renovated in 1988 due to a request from the local producers.
Today, stretching out upon nearly a hectare, it is made up of two distinct parts: - the first and oldest one, includes a collection of almost 350 species or varieties of plants.
- the second one can be found on a small island on the river Hyrôme where all the variety of the locally produced plants are presented together.
The general theme of the Garden « Of the Medicinal Plant» is broken down into a dozen of subthemes: Roman camomile, magic herbs, tinctural plants, and condimental ones...
According to the season and the time of the day, surprises - both perfumed and otherwise - await you as you make your way through the beautiful paths. The gardeners - hosts will be pleased to show you the numerous uses, as well as the rich and various virtues of those plants.
Prolong your visit with a stop at the Albarel Pavillon, set up in a decor of a 19 th century chemist shop, where you will see a video showing the production and transformation of plants.
The tasting of an herbal tea will allow you to complete your visit properly.

  Closing of ticketting one hour before the closing of the garden.
