Arboretum Of Balaine

The Arboretum was created in 1804 by the daughter of the botanist Michel Adanson and has been maintained and enriched by the same family since this time. This collection of indigenous and exotic species covering more than 20 hectares, is the perfect example of an English style 19 th century garden, surrounding a pleasant, luminous Bourbonnais style castle. There are more than 2500 species of plants growing.

Fete des plantes Aglaë Adanson Exposition de végétaux rares et de collection, qui porte le nom de : « JOURNEES DES PLANTES AGLAE ADANSON ». Elle se déroulera à l’ARBORETUM DE BALAINE les 14 et 15 Avril 2012, de 10 heures à 18 heures. Ces journées regrouperont une cinquantaine d’exposants dans plusieurs catégories du domaine végétal, ainsi que des accessoires pour le jardin. Possibilité de déjeuner sur place Contact : courteix

• Opening 2012 :
  from 1 march to autumn. From 9 to 12 am and 2 to 7 pm.
• Visits :
  Unguided visits.
  Guided visits with previous booking, Minimal number of persons for a guided visit : 20.
  Access adapted for disabled persons.
  
• Charges :
  Adults: 9,00 euros. Children (8 to 12 years): 5 Euros. Groups: 7,00 per person (guided visit: fixed price of 50 euros in addition).
  Cheap rates for: adults and handicapped children, school groups (to get information).
  The annual chart enables you to come as much from time than you wish, at the Arboretum.
  Its tariff is of 27,00 euros per person / adult and 15.00 € for the children from 8 to 12 years and with possibility of coming on go in winter following time, by appointment.
