Description
On a poetic site, overhung by high, once wine-planted hills, and on the confluent of two rivers, Eure and Iton, Château d'Acquigny park, designed in the early 19th century by Félix Duban, is of great diversity. Its exceptionally tall trees, its artificial rivers invite to dream before admiring the orangey, nestled against the church, the Mediterranean garden and its citrus fruit trees as well as the 18th century kitchen garden, whose brick walls shelter big espalier pear trees, a fig tree and an Apollo laurel, whose roots go down to the channels and are thus protected against the cold.
