The Garden of Le Clos Poincaré : The house was the residence of Raymond Poincaré in the department of La Meuse. It was built in neo-Louis-XIII-style and its terraced garden overlooks the valley of the river Meuse. It is composed of regular box-bordered flower-beds. The garden is a early 20th century conception, contemporary of the castle. It is eclectically built around several architectural movements and types. It can be considered to be of Italian style however, by its small size, its precise order and its ornamentation with basin, grottoes and shrubbery. Its statues are of earthenware and cast iron. Created in : 1986
