The site of the Departmental Park Des Lilas, at Vitry-sur-Seine, is protected from urbanisation because of the ancient gypsum mines underneath.
The Department Council continues to plant and set up new landscapes and today 40 hectares invite for a walk. This countryside that changes with the seasons also offers different remarkable collections of plants : Lilacs, Roses, fruit trees, Dahlias...
Every year, the public is invited to a complete change of atmosphere in the ”Lilabyrinth”, a garden event where you can ”give yourself up to dreaming in the outskirts of Paris”.
