Public Garden

Montélimar - Drôme (26) - Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes - France

This park was created in 1856 by the landscape architect Duvilliers-Chasseloup. This space situated near the town centre, is considered as the green lung of the city.
This park benefited since 1992 from important works of renovation which allowed to improve the quality of this garden. New realizations were born : a bandstand and a merry-go-round of 1900's.
The set of these actions gives us today a new image of this park without however modifying the character which wanted to give him his creator. This very pleasant garden is convenient to walks and to rest, it contains a lake of water, the hundred-years-old numerous trees, the copses and the floral massifs.
In the course of the walk, the guest will discover a safari park as well as a multitude of free animals on the ornamental lake. An operation of rehabilitation of the chalet of the park was realized to create a space of light restoration.
