La Garenne-Lemot Park : Designed in 1805 by the sculptor Frédéric Lemot as an ideal landscape and a source of inspiration for landscape painters, this 13-hectare park, a listed Historical Monument, extends along the picturesque banks of the Sèvre Nantaise. Buildings, follies and umbrella pines confirm the reference to Italy, while terraces offer the visitor views of the town of Clisson and the magnificent ruins of the mediaeval castle.
The Conseil Général de Loire-Atlantique, which owns the estate, is sponsoring temporary exhibitions in the Villa, during 2008 Created in : 1805
