The Harmas (”Fallow Ground” in Provencal) of Jean Henri Fabre.
On 18 May 2006 the famous naturalist and entomologist Jean Henri Fabre's (1823 ­ 1915) garden and part of the house, restored by the National Museum of Natural History, have been reopened to the public.
The visitors will be able to discover the garden, which contains more than 500 different species of plants where the naturalist made many of his observations about plants and insects. His working cabinet contains his collections of fossils, his manuscripts, his herbarium and the small table on which thousands of pages were written, specially the ”Souvenirs Entomologiques”.
